John Lacny was born on March 27, 1961 in Port Huron, MI. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and entered Boot Camp at MCRD San Diego CA in September 1979 as an infantryman. Upon graduation in December 1979, he reported to Infantry Training School and trained as 0361 Machine Gunner where he finished at the top of his class and was selected to go to Sea School in San Diego, CA. In April 1980, he graduated second in his class and was selected to serve aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Nimitz CVN 68 as the Marine Security Detachment which was conducting operations in the Iranian Gulf.
John was honorably discharged as Corporal of the Marines in 1982. He attended college and graduated with honors from Western Michigan University in 1987 with a BS in Political Science concentrating on Middle East and Soviet Affairs.
John Lacny has developed and managed logistics operations in 22 countries and served as the Director Supply Chain for Raymes, KSA.
